PennWest Clarion SBDC PennWest Clarion SBDC, Helping businesses start, grow, and prosper.

Since its inception in 1980, the PennWest Clarion SBDC has consulted with thousands of pre-venture and existing business clients in its 10-county region. This region in Pennsylvania includes the following counties: Armstrong, Cameron, Clarion, Clearfield, Elk, Forest, Jefferson, McKean, Potter, and Venango. The PennWest Clarion SBDC provides consulting services and educational programs to entrepreneurs looking to start or grow their small business. PennWest Clarion SBDC consultants work with entrepreneurs in confidential, one-to-one sessions to help them with a range of business issues including testing a new business proposition, shaping a business plan, investigating funding opportunities, and much more. PennWest Clarion SBDC educational programs serve to inform and assist entrepreneurs with the many decisions a new business owner faces. Program topics range from regulatory compliance issues to marketing tactics and are offered throughout the 10-county region.

🤖 Big news for small businesses!

America’s SBDC has announced a new partnership with OpenAI to expand access to practical AI training for entrepreneurs across the country.

Through this new pilot program, SBDC advisors will receive training through OpenAI Academy and bring hands-on AI workshops directly to small business owners. The goal is to help entrepreneurs learn practical ways to use AI to:

✨ Streamline day-to-day operations
✨ Improve customer service
✨ Support better decision-making
✨ Save time and work more efficiently

The initiative is expected to reach more than 1,000 small businesses during its initial rollout, with additional resources and industry-specific tools planned as the partnership grows.

We’re excited to see how this collaboration will help small businesses confidently explore and use AI in ways that make sense for their business.
