Reminder summer band officially starts next week. Here's a quick reminder of the schedule. If you do not show up, you will be behind when the school starts.

Monday-Thursday everybody is to show up from 9:00-12:00. We are learning a new way of marching, new stand tunes, AND starting our UIL Marching Show. Therefore, EVERYONE needs to be there.

We will be having sectionals from 1:30 pm-3:00 pm. Please see below for the sectional day:
Monday - Flutes, Clarinets, and Trumpets
Tuesday - Low Brass
Wednesday - Percussion
Thursday - Saxophones

Thursday we will have a movie night - you guys pick the movie...it must be appropriate.

As we prepare for next week, please be aware that it is going to be extremely hot.
- Make sure to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.
- Dress appropriately, no dark colors, wear clothes that are light colored and loose
- Please make sure to bring sunscreen because we will be in the sun
- You will need to wear tennis shoes, sandals and crocs (even in sports mode) are not acceptable.

It was so much fun hosting The Academy Drum Corps yesterday! They were so grateful for the hospitality Clarendon gave to them!

I would love to give the biggest shout out to the Custodial staff at CCISD. They were absolutely amazing in making this happen and making the grounds and building look fantastic!

Thank you to the administration for seeing how what a unique opportunity it is to be able to host a band of this caliber and being supportive in doing that.

Thank you to Coach Whitaker for use of Bronco Stadium, gym, locker rooms, etc.

Thank you to the community who came and supported them yesterday! They put on a phenomenal show last night for their final run through!

It takes a village to make this happen and I’m so blessed my village is Clarendon ISD. We look forward to doing this again next year!

On Wednesday, July 15, we're excited to host The Academy Drum Corps for a full day of rehearsals in Clarendon. But, the evening rehearsal from 6:00-9:30 is a great time to watch, and if you can't stay long, come by around 9:00 PM to catch one of their final full performances of the night.

The corps loves having an audience—it helps create an exciting rehearsal atmosphere and prepares them for competition. Whether you're a band family, an alumnus, or just enjoy great music, we'd love to see our community come out and support these incredible performers!

The 2026 Clarendon Bronco Band Summer Band Schedule is here! This is for ALL high school band members and incoming 8th graders participating in band for the 2026-2027 school year.

If your child is unable to attend one or more of the scheduled summer band days, please let me know as soon as possible so I can plan accordingly. My email address and phone number are included on the schedule.

🎶 JH Band Success at Greater Southwest! 🎶

On Friday, members of the Junior High Band traveled to Amarillo, Texas to compete in the Greater Southwest Music Festival — and they represented Clarendon extremely well!

🏅 First Division Soloists:
Braxton Bruce, Maezie Robertson, and Ajax Caudle

🏅 First Division Brass Ensemble:
Lincoln Smith, Jase Conway, Asa Bains, and August Pierce

🏅 First Division Percussion Ensemble:
Jase Ritchie, Jax VandenBoogaard, Kensler Roberts, and Memory Arnold-Farmer

🌟 Outstanding Ratings (Above & Beyond!):
Brass Duet – Slade Pittman & Ryker Thomas
Woodwind Trio – Kinsleigh Thomas, Marley Robinson, & Journee Morris

After the competition, the kids had an absolute blast letting off steam with lunch at Chick-fil-A, a fun game of hide-and-seek in the tunnels, and finishing the day with a sugar rush from Braum’s ice cream!

We are so proud of these students and the way they represented Clarendon Junior High. Congratulations on making Clarendon proud! 🎵
