Day one was a success! We are ready for the next couple of weeks!

Summer vacation is coming to an end for students in Green Country, so a church in Rogers County is now trying to make sure children have what they need for the first day of school.

The Rogers County School Supply Drive dates have been set for August 3rd-21st, Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm. The location will be Claremore First United Methodist Church in the Childrens Center(which is around back.) Sign-ups and pick-ups are at the same location. This program is open to any child enrolled in a public school in Rogers County that would not otherwise be able to afford or obtain their school supplies. It is all thanks to local community and individual donations that this program is possible, so thank you to our generous donors! *Please note that due to the volume of sign-ups, your date to pick-up could be a couple of days. Your pick-up day will be assigned the day you sign-up.

This week the directors and volunteers will be very busy getting ready for the school supply drive! This Friday begins the 2014 drive, but remember, you don't have to sign up the first day. The supply drive will go through August 19!

We know there have been some questions about school supply assistance with schools and grades that only request funds. We are working right now, with the assistance of the schools, to create a school supply list we can use for the drive. If you have students that are in classes requesting funds, please sign them up and we will do our best to supply them for their upcoming school year!

As the new school year is approaching, Rogers County is preparing! The Rogers County School Supply Drive dates have been set for August 1st-19th at Claremore FUMC. Any family with students attending a Rogers County grade school, in need of assistance with school supplies, is eligible to sign-up. The doors to the Children's Center (located at the back of the church) will be open from 9-5, Monday-Friday for sign-up and pick-up. Blessings on the new school year!
