The Center collaborates closely with Project Sister Family Services, a community agency, to provide counseling services to students. The EmPOWER Center is thrilled to share the launch of a new program! Through a collaboration with the Lavender Healing Collective, we are offering free, virtual, confidential, trauma-informed counseling services to 7C student survivors of sexual assault, dating/domestic violence, and stalking. Counseling is available to students of all gender identities without a long wait. Drop-in for one or more of our upcoming workshops on healthy relationships at the CARE Center, CMC on four alternate Wednesdays, starting Feb. 22 from 3:30-4:30pm. There will be Boba for all and gift cards to Iron & Kin Coffee to the first five attendees at each workshop!

Introducing the EmPOWER Center staff! At EmPOWER, our lovely team is made up of our director Rima and three student interns. As a reminder, Rima serves as a confidential advocate for members of the 7C community to meet with if impacted by sexual assault, dating or domestic violence, and stalking.


Our second Title IX Drop-In Session is happening next week, Tuesday 11/15 from 3-4:30pm at the EmPOWER Center!

Do you have questions about the TCC Title IX Policy and process? Want to know what the process entails? Wondering what happens when you file a complaint, which types of alternative resolution options are available, and what the live hearing is like? Come meet the TCC Title IX Administrator, Barbara Reguengo, and have your questions answered. Speaking with her does not constitute a report.

April is S*xual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM). Slide for information on resources and events the EmPOWER Center has planned for this month.


Join us for a collaboration with the Center for Pacific Asian Family! At this workshop we will talk about the cultural norms, beliefs, expectations and practices when it comes to power, control, consent, and communication in friendships, dating relationships, and families. Please join CPAF on zoom on 4/5 from 4-5 pm at the link below or in our linktre.e! The first 10 attendees will receive a gift card to Yogurtland.



Hosted by the 4C Advocates, all survivors and allies are welcome for a night of self-reflection and self-care through artistic expression and creativity. There will be art
materials, project ideas, as well as prompts to facilitate writing provided. There will also be SomeCrust and beverages at the Hive for all attendees to enjoy! 
Students will have the option to contribute their creations, anonymously or not, to a display that will be featured during Take Back the Night during S*xual Assault Awareness Month on April 21st from 6:30-9:00 p.m.. TBTN is meant to empower and uplift members of our community by marching through our campuses at night, a time when students and survivors often feel unsafe.


In honor of SAAM, we will be having two healthy relationship workshops with House of Ruth educators. These events will be in person on our porch at 3:30-4:30 on 3/30 and 4/13! The first ten attendees for each session will win a tote bag, and there will be boba for all attendees. See you there!
