Happy Memorial Day! God bless our Heroes!

Dear CBNS families,

We are sure some of you have heard the news by now, but we wanted to make sure you also heard it from us.
It is with a heavy heart that we write this letter to inform you that the First Baptist Church of Claremont informed us, on the 10th of May, that the church board unanimously voted to close CBNS as of May 31st, 2024.
The teachers, Mrs. Rico and myself are saddened and heart broken by this impromptu and disconcerted decision.

All of us would like to thank all of you for your love, support and generous hearts that made the past school years, and this (last) school year a blessing to all of us. Thank you.
We love you all!❤️

Today we celebrated Earth Day! To celebrate Earth Day, we went on a nature walk to see all of the beautiful gifts God created. We heard singing birds, we saw playful squirrels and fast moving lizards. We held and looked at rocks, leaves, and colorful flowers. We are so blessed!
To top off the day, we enjoyed Dirt Worm Pudding Cups! Yummy!
What a fun day!

We followed the directions below, and were able to view the eclipse reflected on a paper plate. Very cool to see!

Directions:

Build an eclipse viewer
Cut a hole in one piece of paper and cover it with aluminium foil, then poke a small hole in the foil. On the day of the eclipse, hold the paper up to let the sun beam through the hole and it will project a version of the eclipse onto a second piece of paper you place on the ground.
