Pomona College students attended a virtual information session to learn more about studying in the UK or Ireland after graduation presented by Pomona's Fellowship Advisor, Jason Jeffrey, along with guest speaker Nina Potischman β21, a PO Alum and Marshall Scholarship recipient. Jason and Nina spoke to students about the Churchill, Downing, Gates, Marshall, Mitchell, and Rhodes Scholarships!

β¨ Recipient Spotlight β¨ A year after graduating from Pomona College with a major in sociology and a minor in Chicana/o-Latina/o studies, Kim Rojas Hernandez β17 didnβt think there was a place for her in the tech industry without a technical background. But less than four years later, she has had three promotions and currently works as a recruiting operations manager at a tech company -- Handshake -- that helps college students across the country find jobs.

Susanne Mahoney Filback, associate director of preprofessional programs and prelaw advisor in the Career Development Office, has been selected as president-elect of the Pacific Coast Association of Pre-Law Advisors, one of the six regional professional associations that make up PLANC (Pre-Law Advisors National Council)! πππ
She will serve in this role for one year before beginning her three-year term as president. Filback will represent PCAPLA members from Alaska, California, Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington on the national board of PLANC. The national board brings together the leadership from the regional associations, law schools, and other partner organizations, to advance the pre-law advising profession and enhance the delivery of pre-law services to students.
β¨ Recipient Spotlight β¨ Anaelle Roc β24 was selected as part of the inaugural class of Patti Grace Smith Fellows, a cohort of 43 Black undergraduate students who are interested in a future in aerospace. Congrats, Anaelle!
