Our research-grade telescope at Table Mountain Observatory gives students the opportunity to conduct cutting-edge astrophysics research alongside faculty and collaborators at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory—all while gaining the kind of hands-on experience many students don't get until graduate school.

Congratulations to Jenny Monge, Pomona College's 2026 Top Chef!

After an exciting competition at Frank Dining Hall, Monge earned the title with a standout dish featuring skirt steak and fresh sweet corn. A member of the Pomona dining team for seven years, she impressed a panel of professional chefs with her creativity, skill and passion for great food.

The Annual Culinary Challenge gives Pomona's talented dining staff the chance to showcase their creativity, technical skills and passion for cooking beyond their daily work serving the Pomona College community at the dining halls.

A big thank you to all five talented competitors and our guest judges for celebrating the incredible culinary talent that helps make the Pomona experience so special.

Return to Pomona brings talented alumni back to campus to cultivate relationships with current students, faculty and staff. In the spring, author and retired healthcare executive Scott Lisbin ’77 taught the course, Achieving World Class Medical Care Through Lean Six Sigma.

His public policy analysis course covered how statistics, risk analysis, measurement theory, research and methodology can be applied to public organizations and nonprofits generally and to healthcare specifically.
