Claremont’s IPDP/Team USA has organized international debating for a decade; students have attended competitions and educational exchanges in more than 15 countries. In just the past few years, students attended events in China, Mexico, Korea, New Zealand, Qatar, Turkey, Peru, Italy, Belgium, United Kingdom, Chile, Bermuda, Greece, Czech Republic, Netherlands, and South Africa.
The IPDP organizes, auditions, selects, and trains students for the international competitions in multiple debate formats. In addition, the IPDP hosts a US national championship for high school students in international debate formats.

Team USA IPDP 1 in their last round of the Bluebonnet Debate Tournament! Their final record was 4-2.
Team USA is currently in Houston, Texas, and will be competing at the WSDF tournament at Kingwood High School!
We have 2 teams with us:

Team USA closes out PANAMS with a smashing success! Both our teams were extremely close to breaking. We also had James Hu place 7th individually as a speaker. We made friends from various different nations like Canada, Chile, Argentina, etc. It was amazing getting to experience the culture, food, and city of BUENOS AIRES! Thanks for a great PANAMS, ADA, we'll be back next year!
Team USA is getting ready to fly out tomorrow for the Pan American Debate Championships, which will be hosted by the wonderful Argentine Debating Association in Buenos Aires, Argentina!
We'll be taking 2 teams with us:
Team USA 1: Katherine Na and James Hu
Team USA 2: Teevyah Yuva Raju, Maya Kurkhill, and Amari Huang
After a lot of hard work and hours of prepping, Team USA IPDP 2 lost Octofinals in a 3-0 decision.
Day 2 Update: Both teams finished day 2 of Winter Holidays Open with a 4-2 record, and USA IPDP 2 will be advancing to octofinals tomorrow!
Team USA IPDP has completed day one of the Winter Holidays Open!
Both teams will go on to compete in day two with a 2-0 record.
Team USA Debate is getting ready to board our flight to Zagreb, Croatia! We'll be competing in the Winter Holidays Open.
