Synopsis: True West follows two estranged brothers when they reunite at their mother’s house in Southern California. The play wonders what it means to be fulfilled and what we owe to family. There are four characters—Austin, a successful screenwriter; Lee, a wanderer and a thief; their unnerving mother; and a suave movie executive named Saul. The movie follows the brothers as they argue about their father and what it means to tell a story, with the ever-present California desert always lurking just behind them.
