THE OUTDOOR EDUCATION CENTER SPRING BREAK PHOTO CONTEST
1. You must be a 5C student
2. You must be following the OEC’s Instagram account
3. Location of photograph must be at a driving distance of under 15 hours from the OEC
4. Photograph must be of/imply that you are adventuring in the outdoors for your spring break

By participating, you consent to us using your image for OEC posts. OEC staff will choose the winning photograph. The ca$h prize is 25 individual $1 bills stuffed into an OEC waterbottle. The contest submission period ends on Sunday March 19th at 12PM PST. The winning photograph will be revealed March 23rd at 2PM PST.

OA was a huge success! Students who went on the Dogwood Campground trips had so much fun at the lake with a surprise obstacle course on the water!

Meet your OA Team! Anna Bauer (she/her) is starting her first year as OEC manager at Pomona. She has been overseeing all OA planning and is working on organizing the space and gear for the school year. The Outdoor Education Center of Pomona College is one of the premier outdoor education programs in the country. The outdoor program provides hands-on opportunities for all students in outdoor recreation and education, promotes the preservation and conservation of the natural environment, and develops student leadership skills. We believe it's important that students can get out and have fun without losing sight of the general mission to educate and build leadership skills.
As the building housing the OEC is intended to be GOLD certified by LEED standards, the OEC is an example of sustainable programming in the center itself and on trips. The OEC has created many partnerships, both on and off campus, with academic departments, intercollegiate programs, and community organizations. The OEC has full time hours of operations open to our leaders, participants, and to the entire Claremont College community.
