Meet Christina Tong, ASPC President.

If you were a vegetable (or a fruit, we don't discriminate), what would you be and why?

"Kale chip - crunchy, salty, and healthy," says this week's featured Senator: Christina Tong '17, ASPC President, from Pleasanton, CA.

In her words, "ASPC is about advocacy, trying to get people in power to make decisions that benefit students. We're also about providing useful services, like the course reviews, Coop Fountain & Store, and 5C menu. We also throw events (PEC is part of ASPC!) and give money to student clubs. As President, it's my job to bring effectiveness and efficiency to ASPC's actions by empowering all members of ASPC."

Her favorite part about being on Senate is "seeing both the bird's-eye view of the student experience and the nitty-gritty details of how Pomona College shapes that experience, and then getting to work to make that experience better for my friends and peers!"
