"The Drucker Difference: What's Next for Knowledge Workers?

Management legend Peter Drucker coined the phrase "knowledge worker" 64 years ago in his book Landmarks of Tomorrow. Drucker was always a visionary when it came to what is over the horizon for society. Who better than the experts at Claremont Graduate University’s Drucker School of Management—its faculty and alumni—to share their insights about what knowledge workers—those in tech, marketing, retail, and other sectors—should do today to improve their lives and professional success.

Recap: Drucker goes to the Bay!

Last week, the Drucker Advisory Board had their fall board meeting in the Bay Area. Workshopping a new program with Katharina Pick, learning about managing transitions from Jeremy Hunter and Josh Goode, and helping to define Drucker + societal impact with Kristine Kawamura were just a few of the activities they participated in over the course of two days. They even got a special tour of the San José Museum of Art! We are looking forward to all of the great work to come from this meeting.

After all that work, they ended on a high note with an alumni mixer hosted by advisory board members Saori Casey and Andrew Casey.

Merging career interests with a bigger purpose is a common theme amongst our students. Take MA in Arts Management candidate Aubre Hill, the new operational manager at Skid Row Arts Alliance.

"Skid Row Arts Alliance is a collaborative of five nonprofits and groups serving the Skid Row community with dynamic art programming, professional development, resources, community, healing, and advocacy. When I met this incredible group of art and social justice leaders last spring as part of our Cross Sector course, I knew I wanted to be involved. In my role, I'll be building the behind the scenes infrastructure to support each organization, their collaborations, and this incredible community. Grateful to be putting my grassroots experience from decades of art community building and my amazing education at CGU to work serving in bigger ways."

Congrats, Aubre!
