In the first installment of "Drucker and the Machine," Kristine Marin Kawamura, PhD, explores Peter Drucker's ideas about technology, human contribution, and the future of work.

Drucker would have begun with the work itself, not with what AI can do. Seen that way, AI may change what work means and bring back some of the wholeness and responsibility of craft. As it expands what one person can do, Drucker's questions matter more, not less: what are we here to contribute, and what are we responsible for?

Andrew and Saori met at the Drucker School in the 90s. They committed $1 million to create the Casey Fellowship, their way of removing financial barriers for the next generation of Drucker leaders.
