Scripps alumna Madison W. ‘19 will be back in CP&R tomorrow to chat with students about the Quaker Voluntary Service fellowship! The fellowship is open to all students (not just Quakers), and is based around the values of building community, exploring spirituality, and working to promote justice. Fellows receive housing, transportation, food, support for health and wellness (including access to health insurance if needed), and a small stipend, while engaging in regular self-led workshops and retreats that allow for continuing education in social justice, faith, and community building topics.

The Pomona College Spring Career Fair is coming Feb 6th. Here are some tips to help you prepare!
- Check the list on Handshake and research the companies you are interested in. Learn about them and the things affecting them.
- Update and polish your resume. The CDO is happy to help through a scheduled or drop-in appointment.
- Make sure your LinkedIn profile is organized and updated - very similar to your resume.
- Develop and practice your introduction / elevator pitch. Learn to communicate your interests and skills in 30-60 seconds!

Our annual Salary Negotiation workshop is taking place on Thursday night in the Hampton Dining Room from 5:30-7:30, and there is still time to register! Equip yourself to eliminate the gender pay gap by attending a hands on salary negotiation workshop led by CP&R Director Rachael Acello and Career Counselor Ashley Valdez. All identities are welcome.
Participants will learn how to articulate their value, develop persuasive negotiation strategies, and benchmark a target salary and benefits through discussion and active strategy practice.
