Just want to update our alumni members and friends - The first regular meeting is Wed. Sept 16th at 5:30 pm at our office located at 3 Parsons Ave. next to Nationwide insurance.
We invite all Stevens graduates to attend and anyone who bought tickets who would like to be there for the drawing. The highlight of the evening will be the Parade fundraiser ticket drawing. We had extended the drawing due to the newsletter being sent out late.
So if you still want to buy tickets, just call the office at 603-542-8987, No answer just leave a message, there is usually someone there on Tues and Thursday afternoons. Another note: If you did not receive a newsletter by end of June, then we probably don't have an updated address for you, please contact the office so we can get you back on the mailing list. The Stevens Alumni association is in the middle of our poinsettia plant sale, this fundraiser helps us to continue to maintain an office and with ongoing expenses, a lot of customers that have bought in the pass i have contacted. But if you would like to purchase a plant, when the come in they can be picked up at Golden Cross, we get 2 deliveries
1 is the first week in Dec and we get
A 2nd deliverey which most of those go to churches.
If there are any churches that would like to get in on that delivery that is the week of the 22nd of December.
We have had excellent luck with the quality of the plants. And you would be supporting the Stevens Alumni.

The Stevens Alumni association is kicking off our annual fundraiser, the funds raised help us to maintain an office and pay operating expenses, this year are expenses are up, as many of you know we are collecting donations and maintain records and paying expenses related to funds that were cut due to the budget shortfall, so to be upfront with everyone, the funds realized from this fundraiser will stay with the alumni, all of the committee are volunteers and we are taking no money from donations to help off set our cost, thank you

Update on taking donations for Claremont schools. We are having a committee meeting on Tuesday Sept 16th. The response from our claremont community with donations to this fund has been very generous. We want to keep everyone posted on funds available for the different categories and will be posting on Facebook starting next Friday.
I will also post committee names and contact info after our meeting next week. Mark Chamberlain will remain contact person for information on fund raisers. Dick Girard Alumni president is always available for questions

Important announcement,
The date of the Stevens High school alumni parade has changed, the high school notified me about the possible chance, I meet with the principal this morning and he in turn met with the superintendent and the new dates are.
High school graduation June 11th 2026
The alumni parade will be June 13th, this is people coming back for graduation and the parade will be the same week, and we wanted to be sure to get the word out early so people can make there plans, I want to thank the school for keeping us in the loop of the possible change, and I was able to start contacting the groups that we contract for the parade to change the schedule, thank you for your understanding, new parade registration should be up in a couple days, and class of 2001. Looks like we on the very edge of the rain, but also looks like it is over by 10 am, we will be on Broad St to start staging floats etc around 7 am. I am very hopeful that the parade itself will be dry, see you all soon,
