Our Art Classes have already been working hard this year! They have started the year working on our Elements and Principles of Art. This has included a self reflection piece on what we think art is drawing with line, shapes and patterns; a student chosen subject graphite still life focusing on composition and balance as well as value; and a value scale charcoal piece of a flower. We are so excited to see their creativity blossom with Mrs. Lindsey, and we can’t wait to see what else they’ll create this year💜🎨🍑

Our 4th grade class has been reading “Ralph S. Mouse” and wrapped things up with some hands-on learning! In the story, Ralph goes to school, and once he’s discovered, the teacher decides to have a mouse exhibit where Ralph goes through a maze the students create. So, our students made their own mazes for Ralph S. Mouse! Mrs. Katie always brings stories to life and keeps learning exciting in the classroom. This project was such a fun way for students to connect with the story they’ve been enjoying together, and we can’t wait to see what other projects they do throughout the year💜🐭📚🍑
