Ms. Reid's 2nd graders celebrated National Coffee Day with a coffee shop transformation. Ellianos donated cups for them to have “coffee” and “refreshers”. In math they counted money to purchase items from the cafe. In reading, they wrote about the responsibilities of a barista, made cake pops, and practiced punctuation/capitalization with coffee themed activities. Finally, these second graders read a passage, The Story of Coffee, and answered questions about how it was originally discovered!
