New article alertπ: In Oregon, more than 41% of K-12 students are students of color, yet fewer than 14% of educators share their racial or ethnic backgrounds.
With support from a Meyer Memorial Trust grant, weβre helping more students and school staff see teaching as a possible, supported, and meaningful career path.

Community members gathered at Milwaukie High School on May 20 for a special screening of "Powwow People," hosted with support from our Clackamas Native American Student Consortium, the Native Wellness Institute, and North Clackamas Schools. The film by Director Sky Hopinka immersed audiences in the sights, sounds, and stories of powwow culture.
The evening concluded with a Q&A moderated by Milwaukie Academy of the Arts senior Talula Knight, who led a thoughtful conversation with Hopinka about the film and its themes.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this memorable event possible!

The room was full before the LEEP high school graduation ceremony even began. Families, friends, classmates, teachers, and staff gathered, waiting for a moment years in the making: the celebration of six Life Enrichment Education Program high school graduates.
βOur LEEP graduates have shown us the true definition of perseverance this year,β said Abby Aquino, Clackamas High School LEEP teacher. βThey have faced unique challenges with courage, transformed obstacles into stepping stones, and grown into self-aware young adults. To our graduates and their families: you have earned every bit of this celebration. Keep rewriting the rules of what is possible.β
