What an incredible day on the mats!

Congratulations to every brave kid who stepped up and competed in our in-house tournament today. It takes courage to put your skills to the test, and we are proud of each and every one of you—win or lose.

A huge thank you to all the parents for your support and encouragement, and to our amazing staff for making the day run so smoothly.

These tournaments are about much more than medals and podiums. They give our kids valuable competition experience and more mat time under stress. They learn how to win with humility, lose with grace, handle pressure, push through difficult moments, and discover what they are capable of when they are tested.

This is how they connect their training to a real purpose—and how they grow, both on and off the mats.

Today was a positive experience for everyone, and we couldn’t be prouder of our everyone.

The last few days here in Brazil have been nothing short of extraordinary.

We spent three days on the mats surrounded by legends, people who have been training Jiu-Jitsu longer than some of us have been alive. The knowledge shared was incredible, but what stood out even more was the energy in the room. Seeing lifelong friendships, respect, and camaraderie between BTT black belts from all over the world, along with their students, is something that’s hard to put into words.

Unless you’ve experienced it, it’s difficult to explain just how special it is to be part of something like this.

One of the highlights of the week was celebrating Master Murilo’s 60th birthday. We got to spend the day training with him on the mats and then celebrate together in the ocean surfing afterward. It was truly an unforgettable day.

This is the first of several photo posts from our trip—sharing not only the Jiu-Jitsu, but the friendships, adventures, and memories we made together in Brazil. 🇧🇷🙌🏾

Great day on the mats with our team at the annual Portland Open Championship! 🥋

Congratulations to every one of our students who stepped onto the competition mats today. Win or lose, it takes courage to test yourself, and we’re proud of each of you for representing our team with heart, respect, and determination.

We hope you enjoyed the experience, learned something new, and left a little better than when you arrived. Now it’s back to the lab to keep improving.

Proud of our team. Let’s keep growing, both on and off the mats 👊🏽
