Mrs. Lopp's class practiced a think-pair-share for proper scissor usage, created a 2 column note anchor chart and practiced using scissors properly. They were incorporating AVID strategies while learning expectations.

📚✨ Book Tasting in the Media Center! ✨📚

Ms. Elliott, our amazing media specialist, created a fun way for our older Hawks to discover their next great read! Students “sampled” a variety of books, explored new titles and genres, and created their very own bookmark list of books they’d like to check out. 📖🔖

Thank you, Ms. Elliott, for creating meaningful experiences that spark curiosity and inspire a love of reading in our Hawks!

We can’t wait to see what they choose to read next! 📚

Our PreK students may only be finishing their second full week of school, but you would never know it!

Today in Mrs. Zeris’ class, our little Hawks were busy making inferences and predictions during their read-aloud of “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie.” 🐭📚

As they moved into centers, students continued building important fine motor and social development skills through hands-on learning and play.

Today’s SRO trading card features 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝘂𝘁𝘆 𝗕𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗿 from Citrus Springs Elementary School! He’s entering his second year as an SRO - you’ll often find him out at recess, joining the kids for a game of basketball and cheering them on.

He looks forward to seeing students grow and progress throughout their journey at CSE.

Earlier this week our safety patrols were sworn in by Deputy Boyer, under the direction of Mrs. Lopp and Mrs. Thompson.
These patrols are taking their responsibilities very seriously and are already doing a great job helping out at CSE.

From our youngest to oldest learners - we are so proud of our scholars! While teachers are still teaching and reviewing rules/expectations, we also have lots of learning going on. Ask your child about a “turn and talk” or collaborative experience they have had in class over the last week.
