Maundy Thursday part of the Holy Week and is the Thursday before Easter. Also known as Holy Thursday, it is believed to be the day that Jesus partook in his final Passover meal with his disciples. During this passover meal, also referred to as the Last Supper, Jesus washed his disciples feet and established the practice of communion.

The word "maundy" comes from Latin meaning "mandatum" which translates to "command". Jesus gave his disciples a command to love one another. On Maundy Thursday, Jesus displayed his servanthood and love, and prophesied of his death. It was on the evening of Maundy Thursday that Jesus retreated to the Garden of Gethsemane to pray experiencing intense mental anguish before being betrayed by Judas and arrested.

📣Just a reminder:
We will be IN school tomorrow, Monday, November 10th, OUT of school (in honor of Veteran’s Day) on Tuesday, November 11th, and back IN school on Wednesday, November 12th! 😁

There will be a Parent/Teacher Fellowship this coming Thursday night, October 30, at 7:00 p.m. We will be sharing information about your student’s efforts at school and you will be able to voice your concerns (or commendations 🤪) to us! Please make your best effort to attend. We will have light snacks for you to enjoy! 😁

Also, don’t forget that you are welcome to participate in our annual Trunk-or-Treat fun this Friday, October 31st.
You will be able to set up your displays on the north side of the building starting at 1:00 p.m.! See you there! 😀
