Cisco College Cosmetology & Barber School is excited to welcome Glenn A. Forbes, Master Shear Sharpener with Blacksmith Blades, as our featured guest for the Sharp Decisions CE Class on July 13!

With decades of experience, Glenn has trained students and professionals across the country in shear design, maintenance, and sharpening. His expertise in Japanese and German steel shears, factory-edge restoration, and precision sharpening makes him one of the best in the industry.

✨ Special Bonus: Bring your shears! Glenn will be providing professional on-site shear sharpening for just $25 per pair.

Rhonda Bryant, Director of Cosmetology and Barbering at Cisco College will be joining Glenn as your instructor, sharing over 35 years in the beauty industry, including salon ownership, barbering, cosmetology education, and her passion for helping professionals grow through continuing education.

COSMETOLOGY AND BARBER GRADUATES 13 Cosmetology and 2 Barbers students have graduated with their Texas licenses!! To say that we are proud of each and every one of these students would be an understatement.
As a whole this class has worked as a team. Helping and encouraging one another. There has definitely been some healthy competition but they still cheer each other on. I love that! This has been the most enjoyable class! There has been laughter and tears and they’ve had to put up with my crankiness at times but they made it!!
No more “Pow-Wows” or “Conversations” and you will not be called to my office for a “Chat”, you all made it through!! I will truly miss you all so very much!! Go out there and SHINE! 🌟 Be your amazing selves! I love you all!💙

🎓 Program Spotlight: Career & Technical Education at Cisco College
Looking for a hands-on career with real-world skills and fast timelines? Cisco College–Cisco Campus offers Barbering and Cosmetology programs designed to prepare students for licensure and the workforce.

✂️ Barbering
Students build skills in men’s grooming techniques like shear cutting, fading, straight-razor shaving, beard shaping, and more—along with client consultation, sanitation standards, scheduling, and retail basics.
Credentials available:
• Cosmetology to Class A Barber Crossover (1 semester)
• Cosmetology Class A Barber Level I Certificate (2 semesters)

💄 Cosmetology
This program focuses on hair styling, cutting, coloring, skin care, makeup, and product knowledge, while also developing strong customer service, organization, and front-desk skills.
Credentials available:
• Instructor Level I Certificate (1 semester)
• Operator Level I Certificate (2 semesters)
• Associate of Applied Science (4 semesters)

The Salon and Barbershop at Cisco College are closed for Winter Break. We will open again on January 22, 2026. Enrollment for our classes will continue through next week.
