🚧🏗️ New Colerain Elementary - May 2026 Construction Update

May marked another exciting milestone for the project as steel er****on began in the kindergarten wing. Progress also continued on the west side of the classroom wing, where block walls are steadily rising. Concrete crews remained hard at work forming and pouring sections of the site retaining wall and courtyard seating areas.

On the main building pad, foundation work has been completed, and foundation block is being laid around the stage. In addition, the site water and fire lines have been installed around the building and continue towards Compton Rd.

After 13 incredible years at Colerain Elementary, we want to wish a heartfelt congratulations and happy retirement to Mr. Climer!

Mr. Climer has been an unwavering supporter of our PTA, our staff, our students, and our entire school community. His dedication to students and their education has always been clear in everything he does. Whether he was stepping in wherever help was needed, taking a pie in the face, or even getting a tattoo on his head just to make kids smile, he always put students first and brought joy and positivity to our school.

Thank you, Mr. Climer, for your years of leadership, partnership, support, and service to Colerain Elementary. Your passion for students and your commitment to this community will leave a lasting impact for years to come.

You will be greatly missed, and we wish you all the best in this next chapter. Happy Retirement! ❤️🖤

Mrs. Schulten’s First Grade Class recently celebrated a very special Starbucks Day in honor of Mrs. Schulten’s upcoming retirement. Anyone who knows Mrs. Schulten knows she is rarely seen without a Starbucks coffee in hand, making this celebration a perfect way to recognize a fun part of her legacy at our school!
A huge thank you goes to Sammy Strecker from Colerain Starbucks for the incredible generosity and support in helping make the day memorable. Sammy provided iced coffee cups, straws, bags, and even delicious cake pops for the celebration. The thoughtful contributions added so much excitement and joy to our day.
We are incredibly grateful for the kindness, community support, and generosity shown by Colerain Starbucks in helping us celebrate Mrs. Schulten in such a meaningful way. Thank you for helping create special memories that our first graders—and Mrs. Schulten—will always remember!
