Congratulations to Anaya Scott and Kamontae Miller. At the eighth grade graduation ceremony for St. Francis de Sales School, they were the first recipients of the Ms. Delorise Staples Good Citizen Award. This award was established by St. Francis de Sales parishioners to honor Ms. Staples for her decades of service to our parish and our school. Anaya and Kamontae were chosen for the award by their classmates and teachers.

Today, our graduate of honor is our Class of 2026 Valedictorian, Anaya Scott. Anaya has been with us since fifth grade. Her favorite memory of SFDS is going to Camp Joy and the CISE Career Expo. Anaya has a goal of becoming a doctor or CNO in the future, while owning her own bakery as an entrepreneur. She will continue her journey next year as a Purcell Marian Cavalier! ❤️💛 Congratulations Anaya!

Today, our graduate of honor is our Class of 2026 Salutatorian, Chyna Weems. Chyna has been with us since preschool. Chyna has a goal of becoming an anesthesiologist in the future. She will continue her journey next year as a Purcell Marian Cavalier! ❤️💛 Congratulations Chyna!

Today, our graduate of honor is Peyton Walker. Peyton has been with us since first grade. Her favorite memory of SFDS is going to the Girls in STEM event at UC. Peyton has a goal of becoming a radiologist in the future. She will continue her journey next year as a Roger Bacon Spartan! 🤎💛 Congratulations Peyton!

We had a beautiful day to kick off our celebration of our 8th grade class with our graduation luncheon! We celebrated their third trimester accomplishments & had fun predicting their future careers!

Ms. Jasmine Taylor treated us to the most delicious pasta bar & we scarfed down some delicious cookies from Ta’Karri ‘25 at Bell’s Sugar Rush! 🤤

Today, our graduate of honor is Reayn Smith. Reayn has been with us since fifth grade. Her favorite memory of SFDS is all of the field days. Reayn has a goal of becoming an ultrasound tech or working in radiology in the future. She will continue her journey next year as a Purcell Marian Cavalier! ❤️💛 Congratulations Reayn!

Today, our graduate of honor is Manuela Akahoun. Manuela has been with us since sixth grade. Her favorite memory of SFDS is meeting her classmates & making new friends. Manuela has a goal of becoming a neurologist in the future. She will continue her journey next year as a St. Ursula Bulldog! 💙💛 Congratulations Manuela!

Today, our graduate of honor is Journey Colbert. Journey has been with us since sixth grade. Her favorite memory of SFDS is meeting new people. Journey has a goal of playing in the WNBA or becoming a Nascar driver in the future. She will continue her journey next year as a Purcell Marian Cavalier! ❤️💛 Congratulations Journey!

Today, our graduate of honor is Kamontae Miller. Kamontae has been with us since fourth grade. His favorite memory of SFDS is going to Camp Joy in sixth grade. Kamontae has a goal of becoming a professional basketball player in the future. He will continue his journey next year as a Roger Bacon Spartan! 🤎💛 Congratulations Kamontae!

Today, our graduate of honor is Omauri Harris. Omauri has been with us since kindergarten. His favorite memory of SFDS is all of the field days. Omauri has a goal of becoming an MLB or NFL player in the future. Omauri’s next steps are still being determined, but we wish him all the best on his journey! 💙💛 Congratulations Omauri!
