Ukrainian photographer Evgeniy Maloletka will visit Xavier on Friday, October 13, a single-day visit as part of his cross-country tour from San Francisco to New York City. While working as a freelance photographer for the Associate Press, he documented the siege of Mariupol in February and March 2022. He was one of the few international journalists in Mariupol at this time. As a result of his work, he has been awarded the World Press Photo of the Year, and, in 2023, two Pulitzer Prizes that he shares with a number of other journalists.
