In loving Memory of art student Mr. Jerry Wood. He was a student since 2023 at I.C.I. Studio School of Art.
He was an amazing painter! We will be honoring him at our next Student Art Showcase in the Spring of 2027. He will be forever painted in our memories. 🎨🎨🎨

Remembering Coach Jerry Wood
Deer Park Community City Schools mourns the passing of former teacher, coach and Deer Park Hall of Famer Jerry Wood, whose impact on generations of Wildcats remains an important part of our district's history.
Wood served Deer Park from 1960-69, teaching American History and Government while coaching baseball, football and basketball. During his tenure, his teams captured seven league championships — four in baseball and three in boys basketball.
His impact went far beyond wins and losses. In 1997, Wood was inducted into the Deer Park Hall of Fame, and in 2013, our high school basketball court was officially named Coach Jerry Wood Court in his honor.
His name remains on our court. His accomplishments remain in our history. And his influence lives on through the Wildcats he taught and coached.
Our thoughts are with Coach Wood's family, friends, former colleagues, students and athletes.
