We know conferences are an important time to connect, reflect, and celebrate the growth of our students. Thank you to Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee Truck for joining us and treating our Faber Families to something special during Parent-Teacher Conferences! Our Kindergarten students had a fun morning of learning and serving at the Faber Children’s Garden with Dr. Sheena Mugavin Steckl and her students. They harvested fresh tomatoes, carrots, and other produce. They cleaned up the Children’s Garden, planted collard greens, and discovered what was growing in the potato bags. At Faber, we are growing more than vegetables, we are growing curious minds, caring hearts, and young people who understand their responsibility to care for God’s creation and their community!

What a memorable day for our Preschool students as they celebrated the first day of Fall with so many exciting Faber Preschool firsts! Our Preschool students took their first ride on the Faber Croswell shuttle, they attended their first school Mass at Bellarmine Chapel, and they enjoyed their first visit around the Xavier campus. Of course, the day wouldn’t be complete without snack and story time! Many thanks to the Preschool Teachers, Fr. Damian Torres-Botello, the Bellarmine staff, and our shuttle driver, Mr. Donald, for creating such a memorable day for our students!

It’s been a busy month in Culinary Arts! Students have been building their culinary skills while creating some fun edible creations. The students are working on measuring ingredients, following directions, mixing, scooping, and decorating. They have also been reviewing kitchen safety, teamwork, patience, and clean-up. It has been exciting to watch the students turn into little chefs!

Our Preschool and Kindergarten students were excited to welcome student-athletes from the Xavier University Men's and Women's Tennis and Xavier University Soccer teams for a special reading visit! The student-athletes did more than share a story, they introduced the Faber students to their sports and shared what it’s like to be a college athlete. Our students stepped into the world of printmaking, learning how to create their own designs and bring them to life through the printing process! From designing to printing, our young artists had the opportunity to explore creativity, technique, and the excitement of seeing their very own artwork come to life. Today, our students made their first visit of the school year to the SPFA Children’s Garden at Nexus Garden! The students enjoyed harvesting fresh tomatoes and potatoes, prepared the garden beds for another round of seeds, and learned alongside Tim Severgyn from Nexus Garden. We are truly blessed to watch our students connect with nature, one another, and the world around them!
