As we reflect on our inaugural year, our hearts are filled with gratitude and joy. Thank you to our incredible students, families, teachers, President Colleen Hanycz, Fr. Eric Sundrup, the Xavier faculty and staff, and the many supporters who helped bring this vision to life. Your generosity, encouragement, partnership, and belief in our mission have made this year truly extraordinary.

In the Jesuit tradition, we are reminded to find God in all things, and this year, we have seen God’s presence through joyful learning, meaningful relationships, growth, and our shared commitment to forming young people who will go forth and set the world on fire.

This inaugural year has been more than the opening of a school, it has been the beginning of a family and school community rooted in faith, excellence, compassion, and hope. Together, we have built something so special that will continue to grow for years to come.
Thank you for walking alongside us, supporting our students, and helping shape this mission of Jesuit Catholic education.

A huge thank you to Chef Turnbull and Project SEARCH for such a fun and memorable Teaching Kitchen experience! Our students had an amazing time preparing and enjoying ants on a log, salad, pizza, and delicious chocolate chip cookies. The lunch was absolutely delicious, and the experience gave our students the opportunity to learn, create, and enjoy time together in the kitchen. Many thanks as well to the Xavier University Catholic Cohort for providing the grant that made this wonderful experience possible. We are so grateful for community partnerships that create meaningful learning opportunities for our students!

The Preschool students raised butterflies!!🦋
After each transformation occurred, the students observed and recorded what they saw. Observations made were the following:
Eating - The class received the caterpillars as tiny little creatures no bigger than a small paperclip. They crawled around eating and making silk for easier travel.
Spinning - Fully grown caterpillars with full bellies crawl to the top and hang in a J formation as it spins its chrysalis.
Hanging - After the chrysalis is formed, it hung for about 10 days while the transformation occurred inside.
Emerging - Butterflies emerge and fly around the net. The students put food like fresh fruit or sugar water inside for the butterflies feast.
To finish the unit, the Preschool students took the butterflies to the Nexus Garden where they released them. The Preschool students said bye to their named butterflies: Francis, Iggy, Peter, and Eric.

Our students had an unforgettable field trip to the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden today. They loved exploring and seeing all of the animals and exhibits. Fan favorites of the day included the lions, red pandas, giraffes, and elephants! It was a day full of adventure, discovery, and memories being made!

Biology and Chemistry at Xavier University brought learning to life through a hands-on collaboration where students explored the structure and function of bones by assembling a full human skeleton, using a classroom model and some help from some Faber friends to guide their work. They even learned how to identify left and right sides. They created their own movable skeleton cutouts to take home and took on a final challenge: naming key bones they discovered throughout the lesson. Thank you to Professor Balz, the Biology Department, and the volunteers from Women in STEM who helped.
