Hi, my name is Cayson Finley, I am a junior in Northwest High School. I was wondering if you would like to participate in a Northwest School project involving adding a student-made book into the Northwest Library. The book is based on the history of the Northwest Band, ranging from 1972 to present day. I am contacting you to ask if your organization would like to share some past band members experiences and any quotes that they may want potentially added into the book. Any amount of information would be greatly appreciated as this project is to show the continued legacy and evolution of the Northwest band. If this is something that your organization would be interested in, then please let me know and if you do end up getting involved in our project, I would greatly appreciate it if your page was utilized to spread the project to a larger group of your members.

Thank you to everyone came to our Trivia and Music Bingo. We had more people than ever!

The Super Bowl is a little over 3 weeks away, and we are once again selling squares as a fundraiser for our scholarship fund. Each square costs only $10, which can be paid by cash, check, PayPal, or Venmo. You can start buying them now - all the info is below. We are hoping to increase our 3 scholarships to $1000 each this year, but we need help. Please pass this on to your family and friends.

Super Bowl Squares Fundraiser
1. $10 per square
2. Payment Methods: cash, check payable to NWHSAA, Paypal & Venmo

4. All proceeds go directly to the NWHSAA Scholarship fund
5. Your name will be placed randomly on the grid prior to numbers and teams being assigned
6. Teams and numbers on grid are drawn at random after all squares are purchased
7. There will be a payout at the end of each quarter as follows:
• End of 1st Quarter: $75
• End of 2nd Quarter: $75
• End of 3rd Quarter: $75
• End of Game: $250

Don't forget - we're hosting another afternoon of Trivia and Music Bingo on Sunday, February 1st at Cancun Restaurant on Hamilton Ave. at 2 pm. The squares will also be on sale there, as well as split-the-pot. Get your team together, come on out and test your knowledge, get some food & drinks, spend some cash (you might win some back!), and have fun while supporting the graduating seniors of Northwest High School. Registration is only $5 per person.

Attention parents and upcoming 2026 Northwest High School graduates: scholarship applications are now available in the guidance office, and must be turned in by March 2, 2026. We give 3 scholarships- one for Main Building students, one for Career Center students, and a Legacy scholarship. The Legacy scholarship is awarded to a student whose parent or grandparent graduated from Northwest.

We want to see a lot of applications! See Mrs. Hunt in the guidance office to get one.

Save the dates for our upcoming events in 2026. By popular demand, we are planning to increase our trivia/music bingo afternoons at Cancun to 4 times a year. So far, we scheduled the following dates:
• Sunday, February 1, 2026 - we'll also be selling Super Bowl squares!
• Sunday, April 26, 2026
• Sunday, July 16, 2026
• October date TBD
We'll also have another Dine-to-Donate President's Day, Monday, February 16, 2026 at Skyline Midwest at the corner of Hamilton Ave. & Kemper Rd.
