GME students are in a gallery show during Cincinnati Art Week!

Students from several GME classes contributed artwork to Son of an Art Teacher, an exhibition by GME parent Chas Wiederhold and family, with Karen Saunders and Eric Blyth. A huge thanks to our Art Teacher, Ms. Mya Mcmillan for helping to bring this vision to life!

Is your child in Kindergarten through 6th grade?

Does your child love to be in nature, hike in the woods, brave the weather and get crafty?

Then Nature’s Nuts is the afterschool club for your child!

We will meet right after school and pick up will be at 5:15.

Your child is responsible for knowing when our club meets, bringing a snack and water bottle, wearing clothing and footwear appropriate for the weather and getting dirty.

This club will be run by Christina McDonough (9-12 teacher) and Beth Schlick (3-6 teacher).

We will meet on the third Wednesday of each month: October through Aptil from 3:50-5:15pm

Our amazing volunteers rolled up their sleeves for our Work with Me Day at the rain garden; clearing overgrowth, making space for our native plants (hello, goldenrod and coneflower! ) to shine, and getting this space one step closer to being a true outdoor classroom.

Huge thanks to everyone who showed up with gloves, energy, and community spirit. This is what it looks like when a village comes together for its kids and its green spaces.

Mark your calendars; our next Work with Me Day is October 24th! We’ll be planting our new orchard and doing some wildflower bed weeding in the Gamble Garden.

Adventures of the Spooky Crew – Youth Drama Registration Open!

Calling all young sleuths! GME is partnering with Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park for an interactive drama class where kids solve mysteries, build characters, and bring spooky stories to life on stage.

Wednesdays, Oct. 7 – Nov. 18, 3:40–4:25 p.m. @ Gamble Elementary Theater/Auditorium for Grades 1–3

A tree recently came down on our trail during the August storms, and we're exploring ways to repurpose it rather than remove it entirely by turning it into something like a balance beam, natural seating, or outdoor learning feature for our students. We'd love to hear from anyone in our community who might be able to help bring this idea to life!

If you have experience in:
*Woodworking, carpentry, or landscaping
*Outdoor/nature-based learning design
*Similar community repurposing projects
..we'd welcome you reaching out to share ideas or offer support. This is still in the early planning stages, so all suggestions are welcome!

Our GME community is officially in full bloom, and it is all thanks to our incredible volunteers and PTO!

Today, we celebrated our wonderful helpers with a surprise Spring Garden Walk right in our hallway. Our students decorated butterflies and birds to say a big "Thank You" to the people who give their time, energy, and hearts to our school, our garden, and our kids every single day.

To our volunteers: Stop by the hallway display to find your name blooming in our garden, grab a cup with a treat, and pick out a student butterfly to take home with you!
