⏰ 24 HOURS TO GO! ❤️🖤

Rapid Run has now raised $22,211 toward our $50,000 Color Rapid Run goal—putting us just $1,789 away from reaching the $24,000 PTA budget threshold!

We know we’re asking a lot—and asking often. We wouldn’t be so persistent if it weren’t for the experiences this support creates for our students, both during Friday’s Color Run and throughout the school year.

Our online report currently shows 350 students at $0, but please don’t panic if your child already turned in cash—cash donations have not yet been reflected in the online report. Every student needs at least $1 recorded to participate.

This week in Ms. Decuir's 6th Grade ELA class, students wrapped up their Cultural Artifact Project! Students selected an object or picture that represents an important part of their culture, family, or traditions. They then shared their artifact with the class through a short presentation, explaining what it is, why they chose it, and the story or meaning behind it. This project gave students an opportunity to celebrate what makes their families and experiences unique while learning more about their classmates’ cultures and perspectives.

We need breakfast donations for Muffins with Me!

On October 14 and 15, Rapid Run students will invite their “me”—an adult who has helped shape who they are—to share breakfast and see the school where they spend so much of their day.

A generous company donated our baked goods for years, but its facility has moved out of the area. We’re now looking for help providing about 850 muffins or other breakfast baked goods across the two mornings. Donations of any size would help.

This morning, we celebrated an incredible group of 8th grade students during the 8th Grade Awards Ceremony!🏅🏆🎖️

Students were recognized for their achievements in academics, world, language, the arts, athletics, music, and leadership. 📖🌎🏋🏻‍♀️🎼🎨

We also honored students receiving the president award for maintaining a 4.0 GPA throughout all three years of middle school while taking honors classes in eighth grade—an outstanding accomplishment!🎖️🏅

We are so proud of the hard work, dedication, talent, and perseverance shown by this class throughout their Middle School journey.

As they prepare to leave RRMS and begin their high school years, we wish them continued success, growth, and happiness, in all they do.
