08/31/2015

Hi Everyone:
Welcome to a new year!
We have been working hard to make some special projects a reality for this upcoming academic year. The In The Zone team is excited to announce that Shane Bitney Crone of "Bridegroom" fame will visit our campus on 1 October 2015 @11:00a.m. in the 211 ATLC Auditorium. Please join us as we will discuss Shane's journey with Marriage Equality issues and so much more.
I will provide you with our next meeting date as soon as I receive confirmation of our room. But in general--keep Wednesday's open--as of now this appears to be our day to meet. In the meantime, I will leave you all with an image from the Bridgegrrom (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NfcbW7IJLAo) documentary:

E-mail from the faculty advisor:
"Our last meeting of the summer will be on Wednesday 22 July 2015 in 101 ATLC at 11:00a.m. Please join us to discuss Freshmen Student Orientation and our Fall Event Schedule, thanks."

I HIGHLY recommend anyone wanting to be more involved over the fall, particularly if you'd like to see more involvement - both seeing our LGBT organization more visible around campus, and getting more students involved - attend this meeting!!

Note from Faculty Advisor Ronnie Gladden:
Hi Everyone:
I checked with the folks at the UC LGBTQ office. They will attend the Pride event separately. However, we can still attend. We can informally participate in the event on Saturday 27 June 2015, as we have done in the past. Let's talk more about this next Wednesday on 17 June 2015 @11:00a.m. in 101 ATLC.
