The Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy high school 2014 Robotics team, The Beak Squad, is based out of Cincinnati, Oh. The goal we hold in our minds every day prepares each and every student that graduates being fully prepared for college and life beyond that. We tackle college prep classes that show why we are on this earth and why we are believers of the one and only God.

Throwback to a few weeks ago at the fabulous 2026 Greater Pittsburgh Regional!
Huge thanks to incredible lunch boxes, which kept us fed and fueled throughout the competition where we ultimately qualified for the FIRST World Championship!

Two things can be true in the same moment…
We can be excited for our 7-8th Grade Beak Squad Robotics Team as they compete for the very first time at the Ohio State Championship of FIRST TECH CHALLENGE.
And…
Our hearts can be heavy, broken in grief at the losses of a classmate and a community member.
Scripture has examples of seemingly contradictory feelings and circumstances as part of our human existence:
- In 2 Corinthians 6:10, the Apostle Paul describes being “sorrowful, yet always rejoicing”
- Proverbs 14:13 states, “even in laughter the heart may ache.”
We are cheering for our 7-8th Graders and we are praying for comfort for friends and family.

Congrats to our 7-8th Grade FTC Beak Squad Robotics Team for qualifying for the State Championship for the first time in CHCA history! 🎉
Today at their competition in Lodi, Ohio, they won the Judge’s Innovate Award for the 2nd time this season for their “KISS” robot design.
As one of the youngest teams in the 7-12th grade competition category, they ranked 9th out of 28 teams after Qualification matches. Heading into Playoffs, they led as Captain of the 6th ranked Alliance advancing through 3 Rounds of the double elimination bracket before being eliminated in their 4th Playoff Match loosing to the 1st ranked Alliance.
The FTC Beak Squad will compete at the State competition at Hobart Arena in Troy, OH on March 14th.
The entire CHCA Beak Squad Robotics Program is beyond proud of our 7-8th graders! Please join us in showing them some “LOVE” and congratulations this Valentine’s Day! 🤖💕
