Our school social worker Mrs. Annie provided each classroom with a yummy hot cocoa experience! The book, Hot Cocoa Calm, teaches kiddos how to use “cool down the cocoa” breathing techniques to calm down! We also had the chance to pass around a weighted hot cocoa plush and practice blowing it until it cooled!
The best part…….drinking delicious hot cocoa! thanks Mrs. Annie!

Rising Stars Cheviot Westwood proudly celebrated our 3rd Annual International Dinner & Culture Fest, and it was truly a night to remember!
Local restaurants such as Dusmesh Indian, PhoViet Vietnamese, and Ichiban Japanese, along with our incredible families, shared delicious international cuisine that everyone enjoyed.
The evening began with a beautiful performance centered on unity and the power of identity, setting the tone for a night full of connection and celebration. Families then traveled the world using passports to visit different countries and participate in hands-on multicultural crafts—creating sombreros in Mexico, rain sticks in Chile, African Maasai jewelry, Egyptian hand fans, Taj Mahal lanterns, and so much more!
It was such a joyful night that highlighted the importance of embracing our differences, believing in the strength of diversity and inclusivity, and building a strong, connected community! So many thanks to our staff, students, families and communities for all of their support!

Literacy and Reading are always on our minds here at Rising Stars CW! Check out our last week: Cincinnati Mayor Aftab came to read to our kiddos and led meaningful discussions about the importance of being a friend, not a bully! We enjoyed dressing up and having a parade on book character day! We also celebrated National Author’s Day with a visit from August Stewart, a published author by age 4! He read his amazing book, alongside his mom and dad, and shared all of his hopes and dreams! His book (link) is in the comments if you’d like to check it out! 📕 📖

PLAY IS LEARNING!
Play is fundamentally important in early childhood education as it serves as a powerful tool for cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Through play, children explore, experiment, and learn about the world around them, developing essential skills for future learning and well-being!
Check out your kiddos teachers engaging in learning invitations and play to help them plan for all of the amazing experiences our learners will have this year!
