Latest report on Social Security shows we have six years before big cuts are necessary.

Politicians from both sides have ignored this issue for decades and it gets worse by the day. The good news is we are aware and have time to prepare.

For me it is flipping stocks for gains but regardless of what it is -- it is time to create an additional revenue stream. Anything to help offset what is coming.

Well, they have done it.

Both sides of the aisle in Washington DC have ignored the exploding national debt so long it is now the size of the US economy.

This will only get worse and the economy will be impacted in a very big way.

The U.S. national debt held by the public has surpassed the size of the economy for the first time since World War II, reaching over 100% of GDP in March.

The financial mess before us is why so many people are learning how to take a small portion of their portfolio to Day Trade.

The exploding national debt, underfunded state pensions (47 out of 50), the looming social security time bomb and the added uncertainties of a change at the FED Chair position means the days before us will be far more challenging than those behind us.

The days of buy, hold, and pray are over for me.

If I can flip stocks for quick profits and generate 5% to 10% per stock and see a batting average of 80% or better - I can take a small sum and can generate a sizable revenue stream.

I'd be more excited over the DJIA record if 47/50 state pensions were not underfunded & $38T in national debt.

The crisis of underfunded state pensions continues to grow but few give it a second thought.

More than 34 million Americans are enrolled in state pension funds and most are feeling secure about their financial future. Yet, 47 of the 50 states have massively underfunded pensions led by Illinois where only 49 cents on the dollar is covered.

As if the ticking time bomb of underfunded social security (which erupts in just seven years) we also need to worry about state mismanagement over the pension funds. Only South Dakota, Washington, and Tennessee have 100% funding for their state pension plans.

One of the reasons I learned to flip stocks for gains was to provide a revenue stream I can count on. These days there are far too many unknowns with the future ahead...

I learned 30 years ago that flipping stocks for quick gains was a far faster way to grow my portfolio than the typical "Buy, Hold, and Pray" approach.

Seeing my portfolio up 143% in the last six months speaks to that quite well and certainly explains why my Day Trading students are making the money they are!

You can do or teach - or in my case both.
