Our first Shadow Day for the Class of 2031 is officially in the books!
Today, our 8th grade guests stepped into a day in the life at MND, attending classes, meeting students and teachers, exploring campus and experiencing the energy and sisterhood that make MND so special. For some of our future legacy students, the day even included a trip through MND history as they searched old yearbooks and found photos of their moms, grandmothers, aunts and other loved ones who once walked these same halls. 💙
And, of course, every shadow made her own mark on MND by signing the official Shadow Wall!

As part of our weekly Professional Learning Community meetings, MND faculty continue to learn from one another through “Spark Sessions” focused on sharing best practices and strengthening the student experience. Yesterday, Señorita Glenda Figueiredo, Spanish teacher and Province Leader, shared ideas for creating a welcoming, leadership-focused “vibe” within our Provinces and Communities. Her message was a powerful reminder that every person plays a role in building the spirit of sisterhood that makes MND so special. By helping students grow in confidence, develop as leaders and build strong connections with one another, our faculty continue to Radiate God’s Goodness throughout our MND community. 💙

We are so excited to welcome our Spanish Exchange students to Mount Notre Dame! Their arrival was celebrated in true MND fashion with a gathering in our courtyard filled with food, laughter and the beginning of new friendships. Over the weeks ahead, our Spanish guests will experience life at MND, share their culture with our community and create connections that reach far beyond the classroom and across the globe. One of the hottest items in the MND Spirit Shop started with an idea from an incredible group of MND students! Last spring, these young entrepreneurs researched trends, developed their concept, designed an MND mock neck and pitched their apparel idea. Their vision became a reality! Between pre-sales and reorders, nearly 300 mock necks have already been sold and these student-designed favorites continue to fly off the shelves. More than a Spirit Shop success story, this is what empowerment looks like at MND: young women using their creativity, business skills and confidence to take an idea from concept to market. We were so excited to welcome our beloved therapy dog back for his first day of school today! Hank has an important role in our MND community, providing a calming presence, offering comfort and connection, and giving students a little extra support when they need it. Whether it’s a stressful day, a challenging moment or simply a chance to stop for a friendly hello, Hank is here to help make MND an even more welcoming and supportive place for our students.
