If you know Mercer, you know our turf field is a popular place to be during recess, and with the recent glow-up to our blacktop, we recognize just how much our students love some upgrades! In our ongoing quest to fund the ultimate playground experience, redoing our turf field has always been at the top of the list so that our students can have a safe, fun, and inviting place for everyone to play!

The estimated cost to redo this fan-favorite is $54,000, and thanks to our amazing Mercer families and local businesses, we’ve already raised $15,000+!

To help us reach this goal, our “Fill the Fence” campaign is underway, and we’re looking for more businesses and individuals to help us get there! If you’ve ever driven through our car line or checked out the Mercer Garden, you’ve surely seen our fence begin to fill with banners recognizing our sponsors! Introducing the new Mercer PTO COOK CHAIN - our way of celebrating the people who are absolutely COOKING in their volunteer roles! As the leader of our Fundraising Committee, Ashley Turba has been ON FIRE 🔥 She’s gone above and beyond in her new role, working with community members to help revamp our playground and bring even more fun, joy, and opportunities to our Mercer Eagles.

From big ideas to big fundraising wins, Ashley is putting in the WORK to make amazing things happen for our school. We are SO grateful for her energy, dedication, and willingness to go the extra mile for our students!

Forest Hills is going ALL IN for our neighbors. The elementary schools are collecting items to make Thanksgiving boxes for families who utilize IPM Food Pantry. When you're shopping this month, if you can add extras of any of these items to your cart, send them in with your Mercer Eagles by October 21st, and we will take care of the rest. Thank you!

A BIG shoutout to our amazing Mercer community for helping us shower our teachers with snacks and drinks this week as they head in to conferences! We are also very grateful for our Snack Fairy Extraordinaire and PTO Board Member, Laura Kenady, for putting it all together and making our teachers feel so loved.💙 💛
