This summer, the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce is sponsoring SUN Meals, a summer food program where Kids Eat Free! All children ages 1-18 are eligible to receive free meals during the summer months. Check out these great local program sites available to our Sycamore families. Today was one of our most absolute favorite traditions - the annual Senior Walk! The halls were filled with clapping, cheering, congratulations signs, high fives, and hugs as our current Maple Dalians and staff members congratulated this year's graduating senior class of 2026. We are so proud of our senior Maple Dalians! 💚💛💚

Big thanks to Mr. Otte, our superhero PTO, amazing volunteers, and special visitors for joining today's sunny Field Day with us - it was hot, but awesomely fun! 🏀 ☀️ 👟 🏈

What an AMAZING first Best Buddies event at Maple Dale! 💚💛

We had such a great time decorating our banner, playing games, and meeting new friends. The smiles, laughter, and connections made throughout the event were truly special. We are so excited about the friendships already beginning to form and can’t wait to continue growing Best Buddies at Maple Dale next year!

We enjoyed celebrating our retirees and Altitude Award nominees this evening at Sycamore's second Altitude and Legacy Awards!

Congratulations to Pat Barnhorst, Adrienne Oliver, and Judy Wilson on their upcoming retirements; they will be greatly missed, but we wish them happiness in this exciting next chapter.

Congratulations to all of our Altitude Award nominees as well! Karen Chaney, Cheryl Cooks, and Jen Phoenix were our nominees for Maple Dale Teacher of the Year, and a double congratulations to Mrs. Cooks for being awarded this special award. A big congratulations to Amanda Brauch for being awarded the Classified Excellence Award and to Amye Leifling for being awarded the “All Means All” award. We are thankful and grateful for each and every one of our staff members and loved that we had a great cheering section, as many staff members at both Maple Dale and Sycamore were acknowledged this evening.

The 4th Grade field trip to Sharon Woods was a fun day of exploring, play, & learning about weathering & erosion through hands-on activities. Shoutout to the wonderful parents who volunteered to chaperone, our amazing bus drivers, and the talented guides at Sharon Woods!

We are thrilled to announce that Maple Dale is officially launching a Best Buddies chapter!

To kick things off with some serious momentum, our crew hit the ground running this past Saturday, May 2nd, at the Best Buddies Friendship Walk. It was an incredible day of community, high-fives, and showing exactly what Maple Dale spirit looks like in action. 🏃‍♂️💨

What’s Next?
We aren't just stopping at the finish line. We are looking forward to:

Building Friendships: Creating meaningful connections between students!

Leading the Way: Developing student leaders who champion acceptance and kindness!

2026-2027 School Year: Launching programming and events for the upcoming year!

A huge thank you to our wonderful families for kick-starting Staff Appreciation Week with such thoughtfulness! We began the morning energized with coffee, delightful treats, and a special personalized snackle box for each staff member! Thank you for starting our week off on a sweet note! 💚💛💚
