What a fun surprise for Mrs. Megan Druffel's third grade class! The stories they worked hard to write and illustrate were made into a real book! After the exciting reveal, the students took turns reading their chapters of The Curiously Creative, Resiliently Accountable, Self-Aware Stories — a collection inspired by the five important values in the "Grows Self" portion of our Leaders of Character framework. ✏️

It's capstone season! Summit eighth graders recently presented the projects they've been working on all year. These Leaders of Character have put in incredible effort to serve the community alongside nonprofit organizations in our region.

Congratulations to the amazing students honored during the 2025-2026 Upper School Awards Ceremony held on May 11! Dozens of students were recognized for their outstanding talent, creativity and work ethic, including Valedictorian Alexis Lange and Salutatorian Meghana Curran. Meghana was also awarded the Spirit of Sister Dorothy Stang Award by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, which honors individuals who exemplify the values of Sister Dorothy through service work and care for others. This special award was presented by Sister Rita Sturwold.

Alongside the merit- and performance-based awards, we also recognized students who gave a Chapel Talk this year, and our Summit Lifers: students who have been part of The Summit community since Grade 1 or earlier.

Please help us celebrate all of our award recipients and their hard work this school year! 🎉 You can view more photos on The Summit's SmugMug, which is linked in our bio.
