Congratulations to Inesh Loka, Junior at Mason High School, who won the State OhioMTA Pre-Collegiate Buckeye Auditions in the Senior Piano Division held today at Malone University. His program included works by Ludwig van Beethoven, Charles Tomlinson Griffes, and Samuel Barber. Inesh has been a student of Dr. Van D**e for the past four years at the Cincinnati Music Academy.

Today Arun Kamath qualified for the Overture Finals to be held on March 7th. Arun has studied with Dr. Van D**e for the past nine years. We encourage you to attend to support Arun in the Finals.

Congratulations to Arun Kamath who won the Senior Piano Division of the Jack and Lucille Wonnell Young Artist Concerto Competition. Arun will be performing the third movement of the Rachmaninoff Second Piano Concerto in C minor Op. 18 with the Blue Ash Montgomery Symphony on Sunday March 8, 2020 at 6:00 PM. The above students have worked exceptionally hard over the past year to achieve these impressive accomplishments. We wish them the best of luck as they move on to the next level at these distinguished events.

Christy and Gemma were unable to attend the recital on Sunday, so we had a private recital in Greaves Hall at NKU. Because I just happened to have my DMA regalia in my studio, we decided to have a little fun at their last recital. We wish them success as they participate in band and choir when they start high school in Fall 2019. Additionally, a special thank you for their generous donation to the NKU Piano Fund.

Today we had a fantastic recital at the Cincinnati Music Academy to celebrate the end of the Academic Year. Everyone played beautifully in the hour long program featuring works by Bach, Beethoven, Burgmueller, Chopin, Diabelli, F. J. Haydn, Kargarov, Kuhlau, Mendelssohn, W. A. Mozart, Mrozinski and Rachmaninoff. Bravo to the CMA students of Dr. Van D**e!

Congratulations to Arun Kamath. Today, Arun was named the Winner of the Preliminary MTNA Senior Piano Competition for the State of Ohio. He will represent Ohio in the East Central Division Semifinals against winners from the states of Michigan, Indiana, Illinois and Wisconsin. He has been a student of Dr. Van D**e at the Cincinnati Music Academy for the past six years.

Congratulations to Arun Kamath who won First Place in the A-2 Division at the Carmel Klavier International Piano for Young Artists Competition this past weekend. His performance of the Sonata No. 3 in A Minor Op. 28 by Sergei Prokofiev in the finals was stunning.

Another year has passed for the Practice to Prosper Studio, culminating in two celebratory recitals and award Ceremonies held on May 19th and 20th. We were entertained by student pianists performing works by Nancy Faber through the virtuoso Sonata, No. 3 by Sergei Prokofiev. Everyone performed beautifully in both recitals. Congratulations to all participating students.

Marco Iannelli gave his final recital as a student of Dr. Van D**e at Lebanon Junior High School this afternoon. His thirty minute program consisted of the following works:

Prelude and Fugue in D Minor WTC Bk. I by Johann Sebastien Bach, the Intermezzo in E-flat Major Op. 117, No. 1, by Johannes Brahms, Sonata in F Major Op. 10, No. 2, Allegro by Ludwig van Beethoven, Claire de lune by Claude Debussy and the Scherzo Op. 6, No. 3 by Charles Tomlinson Griffes.

We wish Marco great success as he studies Piano Performance at Miami University in Oxford, OH where he will be a student of Dr. Frank Huang.
