Due to the continued uncertainty regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, the Cincinnati Pride Board of Directors have decided to err on the side of caution, and postpone all upcoming events. This unfortunately includes the Festival and Parade scheduled to take place on June 27th.
This decision has not been made lightly. Gathering feedback from individuals and organizations within the community, we have arrived at this difficult decision. We feel that the health and well being of every attendee and participant is paramount, and we have a substantial moral obligation to help protect those that are the most vulnerable within the community.
During these difficult times of confinement and uncertainty, we realize how many individuals and groups are looking forward to the time when we can all come together and celebrate the LGBTQ community. It is important to remember that Pride is more than just one weekend in a year. Or even a month. Pride is something that we live and breathe every day. With that in mind, we are continuing to work with local and state officials in an attempt to secure a date later in the year, in which we can finally come together again. Once we have information regarding a potential date for the event, we will be sure to pass this along.
