St. Teresa of Avila School is looking for a School Janitor to join our school team and help keep our school clean, safe, and welcoming for our students and staff!

This is a year-round, Monday–Friday position with no weekends. School-year hours are 11:30 a.m.–8:00 p.m. (including a 30-minute lunch), and summer hours are 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.

The position pays $16.00 per hour and includes benefits, including medical.

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, takes initiative, can work independently, and takes pride in keeping our school clean and well maintained. Previous cleaning or custodial experience is preferred, and experience with commercial cleaning equipment is a plus—or a willingness to learn!

8th grade did a Mercantilism simulation with 3 rounds: Salutary Neglect, Navigation Acts, and the Restraining Acts. Unsurprisingly, England came out on top with the most gold in both 8th grade classes.

Ms. Danielle Fisher, LSW:
"In my spare time I love to read mystery books, go to the movies, and spend time in nature! This is my first year in the education setting but I have been in the mental health field for 4 years and counting! Fun Fact: I sang in the Canterbury Cathedral in England with a choir I was in! I have 2 huskies and 1 cat."

Mr. Robert Johnson, QMHS:
"When I’m not at school I like to go to amusement parks, go to the movies, and play basketball. I have 25 years in childhood behavioral health working in schools, hospitals, and day treatment. A fun fact about me is that I can play the piano and juggle."

7th Grade is studying ancient Greece. 🇬🇷 They practiced their understanding of Greek governments by modeling each type with gummy bears. 🐻

7th grade had a lot of fun with their Friendzy lesson.
In this lesson, they practiced collaboration; having empathy in relationships and learning what that means and differentiating between sympathy and empathy. Their lesson was engaging and fun - Bruins - our Ohana stick together!
