2023 Goodbuddy Birthday Celebration!!

Blue Ash Educational Building celebrated Goodbuddy's 58th Birthday in grand style this year, bringing joy and laughter to children of all ages. The vibrant festivities took place outdoors, creating an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.

Children, affectionately called Goodbuddies, partook in an array of thrilling activities, including exciting races that filled the air with cheers and excitement. 2022 Santa Visit!

Santa, in an abundance of caution, remained outside to assure Goodbuddy children and staff are safe during his 56th annual visit to the school. From the classroom, children viewed and communicated with the jolly Santa standing outside where he posed for pictures and gave treats while eliciting promises from the older verbal Goodbuddies that their names would be on the "NICE LIST."

Since 1965 our Ohio Department of Education State Chartered School has cared for and educated thousands of children from the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky areas. From 6:00am to 6:45pm, children ages 6 weeks through school-age attend our year-round Child Development Programs in our 11,000 sq. foot facility located on 7 acres of age-appropriate, developmentally designed play and environmental learning centers.

Recently, the Toddler, Preschool and Kindergarten children at Blue Ash Educational Building were in awe during Blue Ash Fire Department's annual visit to the center to celebrate National Fire Prevention Week. This life-saving learning experience included an introduction to "Learn the Sounds of Fire Safety". This tip sheet from the National Fire Prevention Association has been shared with all parents. After singing, posing for pictures and touring the fire truck, each child received a red fire hat from their new friends.

We extend a special Good Buddy thank-you to our BAFD for their efforts and service to our school and our Blue Ash community.

From School-Age to Kindergarten, PreSchool and Infant children at Blue Ash Educational Building there was "Room on the Broom" for everyone to celebrate.

They walked through crunchy fallen leaves in the Discovery Forest where they enjoyed Trick or Treat, laughed their way to "Spooky Pizza lunch" and finally relaxed at Pajama Parties in all classrooms. "The ghosts go BOO!, but we don't care, it's just pretend on Halloween night!"

Staff, parents and children in Blue Ash Educational Building's Ohio State Chartered Kindergarten program experienced the following memorable 5 year-old firsts during their field trip to "BLOOMS and BERRIES", an animal petting farm: riding on a school bus, observing over 40 animals in their natural habitats, riding on a tractor-pulled hay wagon, and a bee rain, jumping on a gigantic bouncing pad, and selecting a pumpkin to take home. These joyful

moments enhanced the development of our healthy, happy Good Buddies.

The Blue Ash Educational Building celebrated the school’s 57th year of providing exemplary Early Child Care Education to Tri State children. The highlight of the day was the "Annual Goodbuddy Balloon Launch". The school's campus was a wonderland of excitement and fun as staff and children sang and danced their way through a mirage of musical and magical activities.

Preschool and School age children were active outdoor participants. The "Art Stations" enticed children to A Happy Birthday Goodbuddy Extravaganza. Painting entry banners proclaiming 57 years, and designing birthday hats at the Goodbuddy Face-Painting, Photo Stations, and team work in race counting 57 objects. Hula Hoop and dancing competitions were big attractions, as was the school-wide birthday party.

Now we wait for the rest of the story. As part of our Geography map study, classroom maps of the Tri-State will be used to designate where the balloons were found. Attached to each child's balloon, is the return information card requesting the finder to please return the pre stamped self-addressed card to the school. And of course "bragging rights" go not only to the class with the greatest number of returns, but also to the child whose balloon traveled the farthest.

Toddlers, Pre Schoolers, and School-Age Summer Campers at Blue Ash Educational Building's Summer Enrichment Program were mesmerized when Charlie Cadabra spent an afternoon with us on our 7- acre campus. Few things in life excite young children like their first-time encounter with a magician.

Wide-eyed looks of wonder and squeals of delight brought joy and excitement as they exclaimed "How'd he do that?" They are still arguing and resolving their own solutions. Indoors and outdoors they have copied Cadabra's acts and invented new magic entertaining each other. Magic wands, pretend play,dress-ups, and magic words have been introduced from their day of magic. Abracadabra and Petronis are new favorite words. Follow the magic pictures.
