Patient Tammy Wynn "now," in full recovery thanks in-part to the UC Cancer Insitute. Read about her "then" here: http://healthnews.uc.edu/news/?/25229/
I wouldn’t have known on the front end of my diagnosis that breast cancer is something I would have been grateful to experience. But on the back end, I wouldn’t have missed it.
At Angel’s Paws, we provide end-of-life hospice care to pets and their families. Without my own cancer journey, I would not have the ability to relate to our pets’ experiences the way I can now. In my situation, I was the sick pet and my fiancé was the caregiver.
The ability to empathize with both the pets and their caregivers allows me to provide them with comfort, education and support in ways I wouldn’t have been able to before. Angel’s Paws is my divine calling. Everything has been perfectly aligned -- even my breast cancer diagnosis.
-- Tammy Wynn, breast cancer survivor and founder & CEO of Angel's Paws, with Itsy.
