We want to share a proud moment for these 3 Woodward Career Technical High School seniors and everyone involved.

Their journey started as Juniors by making the decision to step out of their comfot zone and sign up to start our Interim credentials course during their senior year.

The commitment was for them to add this course on top of their Woodward senior class schedule. Have good attendance, a good attitude and complete the course on time with good grades. They met that commitment.

On top of that they applied for our Electrical apprenticeship, they recieved a qualifying score on the aptitude test and they interviewed for the apprenticeship in an eligible pool of hundreds of applicants.

At this point you know the rest of the story, they were offered apprenticeship and accepted. This signing Day symbolizes the start of their next chapter of their story in what could be a life long career path with good wages and benefits and no student loan college debt!

Gentlemen, this is yours for the taking, and all made possible by our parnerships with the Hamilton County Commissioners ARPA Grant, the Workforce Council of Southwest Ohio, electrical training ALLIANCE , IBEW Local 212 Cincinnati, Ohio , Cincinnati Chapter NECA, Cincinnati Public Schools CTE Dept., Woodward H.S. teachers and staff. Each new apprentice this year is receiving a $200 scholarship from the City of Cincinnati, Office of Environment & Sustainability.

There are more sucess stories like this from several other schools on behalf of this awesome partnership that will be celebrated soon.

The IBEW/NECA Electrical Training Center had the pleasure of hosting 35 University of Cincinnati students from the Construction Management Degree pathway at our training center.

This was an awesome opportunity to bring our silos together, to help the UC students become more familiarized with what it means and involves for apprentices to complete our electrical apprenticeship and become a journeyperson. Most importantly to familiarize them with who our partners are in the Unionized Electrical industry.

As they Intern, graduate and head out into the vast construction industry we hope when the interact with IBEW Local 212 Electricians and National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) Contractors that they remember this experience fondly. Understanding that it's about relationships and good communication when we are building projects and in society.

Thank you to Jason Mack , Cameron Binegar and jason fleming, ESI, Inc. IBEW Local 212 Cincinnati Chapter National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) for your involvement.

Your blood donation saves many lives and if that wasn't enough incentive to do it, apprentices will get a pass for a night off school. Scheduling link in the comments.
