Oak Hills High School PTA - Cincinnati The Oak Hills High School PTA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization To raise the standards of home life. What is PTA's role?

THE OBJECTIVES OF THE NATIONAL PTA

To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community and place of worship. To being into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth. To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social and spiritual education

PTA MISSION

The mission of the PTA is three-fold:

To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the community and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children. To assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children. To encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation. OHHS is a thriving community of learning, activity and events - from music to drama to athletics to special-interest clubs. We have phenomenal teachers and mentors who are leading these efforts. OHHS PTA's primary focus is on the student. Our key fundraising and manpower efforts go toward:

After Prom - in the spring provide a safe, fun and over-the-top event for more than 1,000 students on one of the most exciting but potentially dangerous nights of the school year. Student Scholarships in the spring helps our graduating seniors begin their next journey of life longing learning. Our Annual Fundraiser is a Night Out/Fashion Show that raises money to fund the student scholarships, teacher mini grants, student/staff appreciation, hospitality and a small part of After Prom. Considerable PTA effort is also spent on supporting our outstanding staff and faculty. We provide hospitality support at such events as College Night and Veteran's Day, but significant effort is put towards the Staff Appreciation Week which is always enjoyed by our dedicated staff. The PTA is also proud to support our Teachers through mini-grants. Teachers can submit their mini-grant request each fall with decisions being made in November so mini-grant winners can put their grant funds to quick use!

Oak Hills High School would like to invite future highlanders and their families to attend our annual Open House on Thursday, October 29th from 5:00-7:00pm

Oak Hills students, teachers, counselors and coaches will be on hand to welcome you, provide campus tours, and highlight our many offerings in the areas of academics, athletics, extracurriculars and student services.

We look forward to seeing you in October and informing you about the many reasons why You Belong at Oak Hills High School.

My name is Mason Lauman and I am a sophomore at Oak Hills. I am leading the 2nd annual on Friday, September 25th in honor of Lisa Schlomer. Lisa has been a family friend for over 15 years. Sadly, she lost her battle with metastatic breast cancer in December 2024. We will wear pink in honor of Lisa and anyone else battling cancer.

We will be donating 100% of our profit from our Pink Day shirt sale to an Oak Hills staff member impacted by cancer.

Our Bridgetown Middle School and Oak Hills community has always shown what it means to come together and support one another during difficult times. Right now, our beloved BMS ELA teacher, Mrs. Gerrety, and her family could use that support more than ever as they face unimaginable challenges.

After the tragic loss of their young son last year, Mrs. Gerrety’s family is now facing another heartbreaking battle after her husband was diagnosed with a fast-growing malignant brain tumor. While surgery was successful, they are now navigating ongoing medical bills, experimental treatment costs, travel expenses, and the financial burden that comes with trying to make the most of every precious moment together as a family.

To help support Mrs. Gerrety and her family during this incredibly difficult time, shirts are available to order using the link below, and donations can also be made if you would simply like to help. Every order, share, prayer, and donation truly makes a difference and reminds the Gerrety family they are surrounded by love and support. ❤️
