ArtsConnect is gathering stories of home from residents in the community for an exciting photo exhibition called "100 Years From Here". We have taken several applications, however there are a few ages we do not have representation for. We need you! Specifically, we are seeking proud Springfield Township residents who are the following ages now, or turning this age before the end of the year: Ages 15, 20, 25, 35, 45, 60, 85, 90 and 95. Each person in this project will have their portrait taken and story audio recorded for the exhibit. The framed photographs will be gifted to the participant in November. Submit your interest through https://www.theartsconnect.us/FormCenter/Connecting-With-Community-3/100-Years-From-Here-100

🙌 Want to make a difference in the community while having fun? ArtsConnect is looking for volunteers for some of our biggest community events!

High school students can earn community service hours while helping at upcoming events, including Puppets for Lunch (June 5) and Touch A Truck (June 12).

To volunteer, create an account (parents must register for volunteers under 18) by signing up for the event you’d like to help with. A waiver will be emailed and must be signed before volunteering.

Calling all people who love to sew! ArtsConnect joined forces with MightyMeshaun to retro fit basic t-shirts to port-accessible shirts for pediatric cancer patients. Two zippers are added to each shirt. Once complete, a character of the patient is added as a super hero design. Anyone interested in helping should come to the art center the second Monday of every month, 1:00-3:00pm. All materials provided, including the sewing machines. Our next sewing meet up is June 8 and we need all the help we can get! Show up - Make a difference doing what you love!
