Where. Everyone. Belongs. ❀️ πŸ’œ 🏫 We can’t think of a better way to describe Nagel Middle School! WEB is a program where 8th grade student leaders offer support, guidance and friendship to incoming 7th graders. This week, they welcomed the newest Nighthawks to school over the course of two days to build connections, show students around the building, help everyone learn how to open their lockers and more! Students will stay connected with their WEB leader throughout the entire school year to help all students get comfortable in their new school.

We’d like to give a special thank you to Jersey Mike’s on Beechmont for donating lunch for all the WEB leaders during their orientation events this week! We greatly appreciate your support keeping them energized so they can create these special memories with students who are new to Nagel.

In light of recent news coverage, FHSD is sharing our full public statement regarding a recent investigation into OHSAA General Sports Regulation violations by members of the AHS football coaching staff. This is being done in an effort to provide students, families, staff and residents the opportunity to have additional information and context. These regulations provide guidance on how often and under what circumstances individual skill coaching instruction is permitted to take place outside a sport’s designated season. Click here to read more and for a timeline of events: https://www.foresthills.edu/district-news/entry/update-on-violations-of-ohsaa-general-sports-regulations/

FULL STATEMENT
Forest Hills School District was recently made aware of allegations that members of the Anderson High School football coaching staff may have violated Ohio High School Athletic Association General Sports Regulations. The AHS administrative team immediately began an internal investigation of these allegations and notified the OHSAA to coordinate the appropriate next steps. That investigation determined that the football coaching staff violated General Sports Regulations 7.8 and 7.10 on multiple instances from February to May 2026. These regulations provide guidance on how often and under what circumstances individual skill coaching instruction is permitted to take place outside a sport’s designated season.

The football program, school and district take matters like this very seriously, and we are committed to adhering to the consequences, enhanced monitoring and educational requirements set forth by the OHSAA in response to this investigation. Importantly, we want to emphasize that no students are directly impacted by or are subject to these consequences.

FHSD appreciates the OHSAA's partnership throughout this process. We have already begun implementing these measures to reinforce compliance with all applicable regulations moving forward, and our focus remains on providing a positive and successful experience for our student-athletes.
