Question:
What would change if your Black students saw themselves in the short stories, articles, poetry, and essays they read... all the time?
Would these texts change their perspective? Their attitude? Their engagement?
We at Blk CITRUS say that everything changes when the curriculum changes. We say that you can have standards-based curriculum using authors that look just like your students and get the same (or better) results as you can with "the classics." We say that what we do... works. We tried it and we know it does.
This is our goal in curriculum writing. We want you to experience the growth and engagement that Sinita Maria Scott and other Blk CITRUS customers see on a daily basis. We want your students to love your English class (at least a little bit)!
