As SBA starts to transition new executive board members into their positions, we would like to take a moment to thank our outgoing executive board for all their hard work and dedication to SBA this year. We are so proud of all of you! Thank you everyone for a great year!

A major day for the Student Bar Association at the 2026 Student Organization Awards!

Our new Big Four were officially sworn in and have begun stepping into their roles as SBA’s leaders. Congratulations to President Robby Belt, Vice President Laura Cabera Espinal, Secretary Erin Roberts, and Treasurer Anna Williams.

Our incoming 2L and 3L reps also stepping into their new roles today and took their oath. We’re excited for the year ahead!

We also celebrated our outgoing Big Four for their incredible leadership and dedication this past year. Thank you Maya, Dom, Laura, and Tristian for the impact you’ve made on SBA.

The Office of Student Affairs and SBA were proud to recognize outstanding student leadership and organizational impact across our RSOs.

Congratulations to this year’s award recipients:
• Student Organization of the Year – Black Law Student Association
• Event of the Year – “Equality Law & Public Health in the US Following United States v. Skrmetti”
• Officer of the Year – Joele L. Newman (Black Law Student Association)
• Member of the Year – Sydney Ring (Asian Pacific American Law Student Association)

In addition, many graduating 3L student leaders were inducted into the Golden Gavel Involvement Society, which honors students who have contributed to the same organization for all three years of law school and served as officers for at least one year.

Thank you to everyone who’s hard work made this academic year such a success!

A MAGICAL 2L party at Pins! Our amazing 2L reps planned a great mid semester party complete with a magician and lots of fun 🪄🪩

SBA had a “ball” last weekend at Barrister’s Ball at the Newport Aquarium! 🪸🐡🐠

Each year, UC Law SBA chooses a local charity as their philanthropic partner. This year, SBA chose The Dragonfly Foundation. Over the past year, SBA has not only raised money for Dragonfly, but also volunteered many hours supporting Dragonfly’s mission of inspiring strength, courage, and joy for families impacted by pediatric cancer.

This year, SBA raised $10,000 for Dragonfly! We could not be more thankful for everyone who made this possible!
