💚💛 Celebrating Nancy Eigel-Miller ’77 - Ursuline Woman of the Year 2026! 💚💛
Nancy is a woman whose impact reaches far beyond Ursuline.
In 2008, after the unexpected loss of her husband, Jim, to su***de, she made a decision that would change countless lives: she would speak openly about mental health and work tirelessly to ensure that other families had the resources, support, and education that hers did not.
As the founder of 1N5, Nancy has dedicated herself to building connection, raising awareness around mental health, and reminding others that no one should ever feel alone. 1N5 now serves more than 400 schools in 17 counties and also partners with local communities and employers for mental health programming.
Her daughters shared, “She saw a need and simply decided that something needed to be done.” They described their mother as “one of the most determined and driven people I know, but what stands out even more is how much she cares.” Reflecting on Nancy’s work through 1N5, they added, “She took one of the hardest experiences our family has ever faced and turned it into a mission to bring mental health education and resources to our community.”✨
