Join fellow Parker Woods families as we work together to spruce up and beautify our school grounds. While I may not have a green thumb myself, I know our community is full of talented gardeners and creative hands ready to help. I’ll be there to support, follow directions, and work alongside everyone to make our campus shine for students, staff, and families.The goal is to w**d and refresh outdoor spaces.

Our focus areas include:
• The front of the school
• The parking lot islands
• The garden area near the 3–6 entrance

All volunteers are asked to bring their own gardening supplies, such as:
• Gardening gloves
• Shovels or hand tools
• Rakes
• Clippers/pruners

Please complete the Google Form to RSVP if you are able to join us on any of the following days:

• June 20
• July 18 (Ms. Ganance and Ms. Myesha are unable to commit to this day, but families are still welcome to participate.)
• August 15 — our most important date as we prepare to welcome students and families back for the new school year!

A message from our Resource Director:

I wanted to share this message with you in case you know someone who might be interested in participating in our upcoming Career Fair on Friday, February 20th, for our 4th–6th grade students from 10:00 am-2:30 pm.

If you have a cousin, sibling, spouse/partner, friend, or family member who would enjoy sharing about their career with students (ages 9–12), we would love to have them! We are seeking volunteers from all professions and career paths, both traditional and nontraditional.

Our goal is to expose students to a wide range of careers and life journeys and help them see the many possibilities available to them in the future. Every story matters and can make a meaningful impact.

Volunteers will spend time sharing:

What they do in their career or profession

How they got there (education, training, and experiences)

What skills, interests, or values are important in their work

No special preparation is required—just enthusiasm and a willingness to engage with curious learners. Volunteers will be asked to bring their own table and chairs for their station.
